Fear of Public Speaking. Fear of Presentations. Fear of Speeches. Social Anxiety.
Client Case History
Client 3. Fear of Public Speaking
Jane (Juliana Oswald)
Position. Company Executive. Female. 46.
Presenting as a result of the CTRN Program
The best I have felt about speaking to a group in 30 years!”
I just wanted to let you know that I have realized the results I was hoping for.  It was a difficult board meeting last August that led me to CTRN, and when it was time to set a goal I set my sights on the December board meeting (the next one I was scheduled to attend).”
“How fabulous!!  Words cannot express how pleased I was to arrive at the day and have my successful scenario play out, only better!  I was comfortable, confident, at ease, well spoken…. All that I had hoped for.  The best I have felt about speaking to a group in 30 years!”
 Summary.
Jane, like many company executives felt that she could not be extraverted enough to let her hair down and yet feel in control of her life. She would fall short of breath at the mention of a meeting where she would have to give her report. She felt inferior, self critical, and full of doubt. But when Jane completed the CTRN program she felt as if she could be naturally herself, respecting herself, and no longer felt boring or limited. Jane realised the results that she was hoping for and much more.
Background.
Jane worked as an internal auditor of a company. She was an introverted person with a liking for detail. Jane was lead by her feelings. She had seen a number of professionals for help. No one was able to remove her fear of public speaking and social anxiety until she came to CTRN.
Jane planned to overcome her fear of public speaking and regain her voice so that she could fully share information as she would like to and feel comfortable doing it.
Jane had a December deadline to be finished with the program and able to present confidently and competently. She had only a short time to remove the fear of public speaking and anxiety. Jane had only a matter of weeks to build her self confidence and self esteem. In fact Jane desired to become lighter hearted about presenting and not so serious. She wanted to have less concern with what others thought about her.
Diagnosis.
Jane, like many had some negative self talk going on inside her. Here is how her meetings prior to her coming to CTRN would go.
The meeting opens and the chairman of the board would say, “Jane would you like to start”. She would tell herself to launch off the best way that she could. She was given the word to start. She would smile and engage everyone visually. She would start with her report to the board. Then she would see that everyone had a blank look on their face. She would say to herself “Oh my gosh! I don’t know how I’m to get through. I know i am intelligent.” Jane then freaks out and seeks to get out of there fast. This is a familiar to many others with this same problem.
Jane had past negative unresolved emotions on many past events. Anger, Sadness, and Fear that originated early in her life and compounded throughout her life until present day. She carried the belief that she was too serious and quiet. In fact as an introvert that makes sense to be quiet. Jane also carried anxiety and doubt.
Strategy.
Through the processes of CTRN we were able to bring all these emotions and beliefs and doubts to zero. They ceased their effect on her. We also educated Jane on how her Mind worked. We directed her to take control of her thoughts and perceptions so that she projected and focused only on what she wanted to achieve. Along with a number of principles taught in this session Jane was directed to only Say It the Way She Wanted It. This means if she was to imagine anything then she was to say it the way she actually wanted it to be. These processes although seemingly very logical and basic are often over looked by our clients until we bring them to their attention.
Jane did well with some fine tuning through the program. She did at one point feel self critical and inferior. We found that she needed to remove more sadness, loneliness, and feelings of isolation from her life. Along with inferiority. Jane then felt that she could be herself more and then she could respect herself. She found that she had been too boring and limited. She then felt more colour and depth in her life.
Jane felt that she could be herself and there was no need for over structure. We proceeded to create her future by installing into her mind unconsciously the successful upcoming presentation.
Jane was to take control of her health, diet, and exercise so that she could feel great naturally. This would assist her greatly.
Her anxiety disappeared along with her doubts and she then felt good going into meetings compared to the past. Jane then felt for once she could now let her hair down and not feel out of control.

Results.
Early January we received this amazing email regarding Jane’s presentation which simply read “I just wanted to let you know that I have realized the results I was hoping for.  It was a difficult board meeting last August that led me to CTRN, and when it was time to set a goal I set my sights on the December board meeting (the next one I was scheduled to attend)”.
“How fabulous!!  Words cannot express how pleased I was to arrive at the day and have my successful scenario play out, only better!  I was comfortable, confident, at ease, well spoken…. All that I had hoped for.  Of course, in other meetings leading up to that one I had the opportunity to practice and start to feel the vision coming together, but it was there — where I used to "freak out" — that I reached my goal.  The best I have felt about speaking to a group in 30 years!”
“As you can imagine, I have also experienced the benefit of CTRN in so many other aspects of my life.  The rewards extend far beyond my new found comfort with speaking to groups.  I doubt there’s a person on this planet who wouldn’t gain from learning the skills I learned by working with you.  Thank you so much for sticking with me and being as persistent as I needed to be.  You shared a great gift with me, and I am very thankful for your help.”
